Tom Martins
After Tom moved to New York City to earn a BFA in Acting from Marymount Manhattan College, his parents moved to Vermont as owners of the Valhalla Motel in Arlington. Over the years Vermont became his second home and gave him a place to find some peace in nature and recharge the batteries for the hustle and bustle of city life. New York City to Los Angeles to San Francisco…and back to New York City, Vermont was always there for him. It made for an easy decision to leave city life for the Green Mountain State.
It was an even easier decision to choose Maple Leaf Realty as his “new” second home when he decided to become a Realtor. Tom’s mom and dad, Claudette and Bob Martins, enjoyed owning and running the Valhalla Motel together which inspired their move to Vermont. It was during that same time that Bob decided to become a Realtor. He went on to become a Broker and founded R.T. Martins Realty. After many years and many requests to merge, Bob chose to merge with Maple Leaf Realty. His father’s experience and stories of his love for the field coupled with the incredible team of realtors at Maple Leaf Realty are how Tom knew his father had made the right decision when he merged, and now Tom was making the right decision as well.
Tom’’s made many moves in his life and realizes the impact this can have emotionally and financially. Yes, it can give one anxiety, cause one to second guess decisions, feel uncomfortable…and cry. But, there’s also a sparkle of optimism and positivity. A call to move on and move forward. Whether it’s a new job, new state, OR new home, that sparkle of “I can’t wait, what’s next?!” is where Tom tries to keep his focus. So, if you’re getting excited for your next “move on and move forward” give Tom a call. He’s positively excited to hear from you.
Being one that believes in keeping his passions alive, Tom continues to get his acting chops fulfilled as a member of The Dorset Players. He keeps the drama on the stage and away from everyday life, but always accepts applause at closings.
